Alice asked the Cheshire Cat,
who was sitting in a tree,
“What road do I take?”
The cat asked,
“Where do you want to go?”
“I don’t know,” Alice answered.
“Then,” said the cat,
“it really doesn’t matter, does it?”

Christopher Smith: Humility, commitment and knowledge

Senior Business Strategy and Branding Consultant

Christopher Smith
Humility, commitment
and knowledge

After working for 20 years in the advertising and design industries, in 2007 he founded Brandsmith, a consultancy dedicated to the integrated development of business and brand strategies. He is also a professor at universities and business schools, the author or co-author of a dozen books and speaker at national and international forums such as the Mobile World Congress, the Ambosetti Marketing Summit, and La Neurona Summit.

Over the past seven weeks, Christopher Smith has interviewed a dozen experts in different fields to explore what positive changes should be embraced to design a more responsible model of capitalism in the post-coronavirus world.

His guests’ opinions have been published in the series of video interviews “Positive change for the day after”, which today comes to a close with his own conclusions on what was discussed. He insists on the need to face challenges with humility, in addition to the importance of commitment and knowledge in the task of returning to the “new normal”.

We thank Eduardo Laseca, Javier Fernández Aguado, Ángel Escribano, Francis Paniego, Rogelio Pozo, José Aguilar, Juan Ángel García, Eduardo Rojas Briales, Antonio Mateo, Rodrigo Silva-Ramos, Antoni Trasobares and Celestino Martínez, for sharing their time and wisdom with us.

On the first week of June we will offer a compilation of the most interesting thoughts that were expressed during the interviews and, from then on, Whiplash, the BrandSmith blog, will be with you again every Friday, as usual.
