FOREST MARKETING

 

Christopher Smith: Conference-workshop on Strategic Brand Management and Marketing in the Forest Sustainability Industry. Lecture series in Bilbao, Mallorca, Caceres and Logroño between June 2014 and February 2015.


Forest Marketing is a project organized by PEFC Spain with the support of the Biodiversity Foundation. It aims to raise awareness on employment opportunities in the forest industry; encourage modernization and professionalization of the sector; publicize certification as a sustainability management tool; promote the implementation of sustainability criteria in the social responsibility policies of enterprises; promote fair trade, certified forest products, and promote forestry associations. In this framework, four working sessions, including a conference and a workshop on how to value and manage the brand, were carried out with forestry industry entrepreneurs.
